In the sound redesign of Brotherhood of Blades segment, it mainly includes ADR, Foley, sound design and mixing.
In the foley section, I want to create sound effects such as sword clashes, clothing friction, and footsteps. For example, they simulate realistic weapon sounds by colliding sword blades made of different materials; reproduce the friction sound of clothing during character movements by using fabrics of different textures; and capture the sound of characters’ footsteps by walking on various surfaces.
In the ADR section, I mainly guide the actors inside the sound recording studio to listen to the original dialogue through headphones and watch their performance on the screen, attempting to accurately replicate the dialogue amidst subtle lip movements and facial expressions.
Simultaneously, I guide the dubbing actors to express emotional states that match the on-screen performance, ensuring that the voice enhances the presentation of the visuals.
In the sound design section, I create environmental sounds suitable for the film's background and atmosphere, such as bird chirping in the forest, the sound of the wind, and street ambient noises.
In the mixing part, I adjust the volume, frequency, and spatial position of each sound element to ensure the impact of the scenes and the delicacy of emotional moments.
